How to get electricity back to room when flipping breaker doesn’t work?
May 29, 2009
Kait asked:
I was flipping switches on the wall to get the outlet in the living room to work, and all the electricity in the room went off. We tried flipping the breaker, but that didn’t fix it, either. Any other suggestions?
Just checked for GFCI receptacle and didn’t find anything.
Just checked everything again and discovered that it’s not the living room entirely- it’s all just one wall, in both rooms that the wall goes to.

Check for a GFCI receptacle. It may not be in the room, but still may control the receptacles in there. Newer ones will trip when they lose power, and must be manually reset. Hope this helps.
1. Unplug EVERYTHING in your living room
2. Flip breaker on
3. Plug in your items 1 at a time until breaker trips again.
If this works you may:
1. Have a bad appliance
2. Be overloading your breaker (not likely though)
You may have a bad breaker or a bad appliance.
are you flipping it or turning it off ! when you just flip a breaker it doesn’t,t reset it you have to push it to off then turn it back on
